Northern Area Interclub Prints & PDI Knock-Out Competitions
Interclub Prints
The Northern Areas Interclub Colour & Monchrome Print Competition between Alnwick & District CC, Amble PG, Ashington Co-op CC, Blyth PS, Cambois CC, Morpeth CC and Wooler & District CC was held on Tuesday 30th October 2012. The event was hosted by Morpeth CC and judged by Jane Black ARPS FPSA Hon.PAGB.

The winning club was Alnwick & District CC who once again, retained the trophy with a top score of 205 points. In 2nd place was Morpeth CC, who were beaten by 1 point for the second year in a row, with 204. In 3rd place was Cambois CC with 198, 4th was Amble POG (196),5th was Blyth PS (170), 6th was Wooler & District CC (165), and 7th came Ashington Co-op CC (163). Two prints gained the maximum 30 points, "Knocking" by Jane Coltman (Alnwick & District CC) and "The Great Migration" by Maria Schulser (Cambois CC).
The event was well attended and the host club provided an excellent buffet afterwards. Our thanks go to the members of Moprth CC and Jane Black for an entertaining and enjoyable evening.
PDI Knock-Out
The Northern Areas PDI Knock-Out Competition between the 8 clubs in the area was held on Sunday 25th November 2012. Alnwick & District CC were the hosts and the judging panel consisted of Anne Swearman APRS EFIAP APSA PPSA DPAGB APAGB, Dave Phillips, and Alan Porrett ARPS AFIAP DPAGB APAGB.

After the first round Ashington Co-op CC, Amble PG and Wooler & District CC were eliminated from the KO Trophy, but would later compete against each other for the Digital Plate. Blyth PS and Morpeth CC left the competition after the second round, leaving Cambois CC and Alnwick & District CC in the final. The final round was a close run battle with Alnwick & District CC beating Cambois by only 1 point with scores of 192 to 191, to win the 'Knock-Out Trophy'. Ashington Co-op CC won the Digital plate with a score of 169.

Our congratulations go to both Alnwick and ashington for their respective wins. Five images attained the highest score of 15:- 2 from Alnwick, 2 from Cambois and 1 from Morpeth. Congratulations to those members.

The event was well attended by all the clubs that took part and the host club provided yet another excellent buffet afterwards. Our thanks go to the members of Alnwick and the three judges for an enjoyable afternoon.
