Northern Counties Photographic Federation
WELCOME to the web site for the Northern Counties Photographic Federation (NCPF). The Federation is the ‘umbrella’ organisation, serving photographic clubs and societies throughout the North of England and this web site is designed to further that service.
We now need a new Portfolio Secretary and Events Officer
Following on from the successful appeal for a new Secretary, we now learn that due to wqork commitments David Ord will not be seeking re-election at the forthcoming AGM. We are therefore looking for a volunteer to take on this role.
The Portfolio Secretary is normally a member of the Competitions Sub-Committee, but is independent of the main competitions structure. He will be required to prepare the CD.s for the two NCPF Portfolios, which are selected each year from the Annual Competition Entries. He will take in bookings and fees from clubs booking the portfolios and despatch copies to them.
Additionally, there is a vacancy for an Events Officer, which has remained vacant for over a year now. It has been filled since then by the President. However the new president (subject to election of course) will not be able to take on thisrole, due to other commitments he has with the Federation. The role is quite flexible and incumbant can work with a sub-committe to support him in organising events such as major lecturers and any other events he ans his sub-committe, (with the executives approval) feel would be beneficial for the federation and its members.
Anyone who thinks they may be able to assist their fellow photographers in either of these roles should please get in touch with either the current President, Pax Garabedian or the Vice President, Cliff Banks who is scheduled to take over the Presidency in March.
This site is continually being updated. Details of all events and competitions organised by the NCPF, and any of any Area Events and competitions notified to the webmaster are contained here. You will also find details of major club events on the Diary Page if they have been notified to the Webmaster. Many items of information are supplied in the form of downloads, mostly but not exclusively PDF files, so that you can download, print off, or re-circulate information more easily than in the past.
Contact us:- This is our site and much of the its success will depend on you, the members using it, and supplying relevant content to be included on it. Specific “Contact” email addresses are displayed where applicable, and these will direct your enquiry or comment directly to the person best placed to deal with it. For example the contact link on the “Northern Focus” pages will take you directly to the Editor of the Bulletin. More general enquiries should be sent to the Webmaster.
Keeping yourself up to date:- Periodically (weekly or fortnightly depending on circumstances) we will circulate an email to all club secretaries, with a request that they re-circulate it to their members. This will itemise updates to the web site so that you can more easily keep yourself up to date. Posters will still be sent to Club Secretaries for placing on club notice boards. If you want to keep up to date in this way please ask your club secretary to forward these circulations on to you.
If you have an article or contribution, or a general enquiry regarding the site then please contact us, at:-email@example.com
