Northern Counties Photographic Federation

WELCOME to the web site for the Northern Counties Photographic Federation (NCPF). The Federation is the ‘umbrella’ organisation, serving photographic clubs and societies throughout the North of England and this web site is designed to further that service.

This includes details of the concessionary entry rates for NCPF Members and their friends and families and also of the superb exhibition of International Salon Prints that will be on display over the weekend.  Please remember that this year entries into the competition are not restricted to being taken on just the NCPF Beamish Weekend.

Northern Counties Salon - 'On-Line' Entry
Discount for NCPF Members

The On-Line Entry Form for the 34th Northern Counties International Salon of Photography is now open to receive your entries. For full details click on the 'International Salon'  page and follow the links.

Please note that this year the General PDI Section has been split into two separate sections: Open Traditional and Open Creative.  The new FIAP definition of Traditional Photography (which basically means minimal manipulation) applies to the Open Traditional Section (and also to the Photo-Travel Section).

Members of NCPF Affiliated Clubs will this year enjoy a 20% Discount on their entry fees.  How do you claim the discount?  It is simple; when completing the 'on-line' entry forms select the name of your club from the drop down list provided and you will automatically receive the discount.  We would love to have your support in the form of your photographs, so please enter; after all it is YOUR salon.

Also please remember that for NCPF Members entering Prints, you can avoid the 'return postage' charges by making arrangements to deliver and collect your actual prints (you still have to complete the on-line entry form etc) to the Salon Chairman, Jane Black, at her home address.

OUR SITE

This site is continually being updated. Details of all events and competitions organised by the NCPF, and any of any Area Events and competitions notified to the webmaster are contained here. You will also find details of major club events on the Diary Page if they have been notified to the Webmaster. Many items of information are supplied in the form of downloads, mostly but not exclusively PDF files, so that you can download, print off, or re-circulate information more easily than in the past.

Contact us:-   This is our site and much of the its success will depend on you, the members using it, and supplying relevant content to be included on it. Specific “Contact” email addresses are displayed where applicable, and these will direct your enquiry or comment directly to the person best placed to deal with it. For example the contact link on the “Northern Focus” pages will take you directly to the Editor of the Bulletin. More general enquiries should be sent to the Webmaster.

Keeping yourself up to date:-  Periodically (weekly or fortnightly depending on circumstances) we will circulate an email to all club secretaries, and to anyone else who has notified an email address to us. This will itemise updates to the web site so that you can more easily keep yourself up to date. Posters will still be sent to Club Secretaries for placing on club notice boards. If you want to keep up to date in this way and have not yet supplied an email address to us all we need is your name and that of your club.

If you wish to keep up to date, have an article or contribution, or  a general enquiry regarding the site then please contact us, at:-webmaster@ncpf.org.uk
