Northern Counties Photographic Federation
WELCOME to the web site for the Northern Counties Photographic Federation (NCPF). The Federation is the ‘umbrella’ organisation, serving photographic clubs and societies throughout the North of England and this web site is designed to further that service.
Northern Counties needs a new Secretary
This is a call for a willinging member of the federation to volunteer for the post of "General Secretary". The current incumbant is retiring at the forthcoming Annual General Meeting in March 2014.
The role itself is not onerous and invovles mainly of organising the meetings, taking and preparing the minutes and dealing with correspondence, often working in close co-operation and with the support of the President.
It is though a vital role and one without which the Federation cannot function. It is therefore vital that the vacancy is filled. Anyone who thinks they may be able to assist their feloow photographers in this should please get in touch with either the current President, Pax Garabedian or the Vice President, Cliff Banks who is scheduled to take over the Presidency in March.
Important Notice re Website Information Circulation
Due to BT Yahoo changing the terms under which non-commercial broadband users can send out multiple emails, we now unable to send out update information to individual members. In future and until a suitable alternative circulation method can be put in place updates will only be circulated to all club secretaries.
It is therefore even more important that those club secretaries, who currently re-circulate such messges to their members, continue to do so. We ask that wherever possible all other club secretaries, who currently do not adopt this practice, do so in future please.
This site is continually being updated. Details of all events and competitions organised by the NCPF, and any of any Area Events and competitions notified to the webmaster are contained here. You will also find details of major club events on the Diary Page if they have been notified to the Webmaster. Many items of information are supplied in the form of downloads, mostly but not exclusively PDF files, so that you can download, print off, or re-circulate information more easily than in the past.
Contact us:- This is our site and much of the its success will depend on you, the members using it, and supplying relevant content to be included on it. Specific “Contact” email addresses are displayed where applicable, and these will direct your enquiry or comment directly to the person best placed to deal with it. For example the contact link on the “Northern Focus” pages will take you directly to the Editor of the Bulletin. More general enquiries should be sent to the Webmaster.
Keeping yourself up to date:- Periodically (weekly or fortnightly depending on circumstances) we will circulate an email to all club secretaries, with a request that they re-circulate it to their members. (please see the notice higher up this page) This will itemise updates to the web site so that you can more easily keep yourself up to date. Posters will still be sent to Club Secretaries for placing on club notice boards. If you want to keep up to date in this way please ask your club secretary to forward these circulations on to you.
If you have an article or contribution, or a general enquiry regarding the site then please contact us, at:-firstname.lastname@example.org
