Alan McCormick gains ARPS Distinction

Once again it is our pleasant duty to highlight the success of one of our members. Alan McCormick of Hexham & District PS and Vice President NCPF is to be congratulated on gaining his Associateship (ARPS) from the RPS.

Alan gained his Associateship with 15 stunning images submitted in the Travel Category and based on the people of Beamish at the turn of the century i.e. 1900-1920. The quality of his work can be seen from the image above and if you wish to see the whole of his successful panel it will be published on the Hexham PS Website in the near future. http://www.hexhamphotographic.org/panels/panels.htm

(ARPS (Associateship) – images of exceptional standard and a written Statement of Intent (what you hoped to achieve). This is a significant step up from the LRPS. At this stage creative ability and personal style (what makes your work unique to you), along with complete control of the technical aspects of photography must be evident. It is at this level that you can first choose to submit your work to a particular specialist category.)
